HOW IT WORKS
RENT A ROOM
Just like regular off-campus housing, you’re renting a room at our space. We offer leases by semester or by year. Our facilities include amenities like recording studios, rehearsal space, events, and more (below). We’ve specially designed Room 242 to be the essential training ground to prepare young artists for success within the music industry.
JOIN THE LABEL
Throughout the duration of your lease, you’ll also be signed to our in-house label, Room 242 Records. We offer deals that all artists no matter what level can customize in order to create terms that work for them. Our label department is well-equipped to help you create, distribute, and promote your music with the overall goal of growing your music career.
LEAVE IN PEACE
Once your lease is up, your deal with the label is up as well with no strings attached. We don’t own your masters, publishing, likeness, etc. If you’ve absolutely loved how Room 242 Records has helped grow your music career and feel that you want to keep being a part of the label despite no longer living at Room 242, you’ll have the option to renegotiate your deal, ensuring that it fits the goals you have for the rest of your career.
